Organized Rides

3 State 3 Mountain Challenge 2015 - Chattanooga TN

3 State 3 Mountain Challenge lives up to its name. 3 major mountains in Alabama, Georgia and Tennesee.

Big Canoe Duathlon - 2006

This was supposed to be the route for the 2006 Big Canoe Duathlon. I went up to Big Canoe to pre-ride the course a few weeks before the race and discovered that a bridge was under construction and completely impassible. Multiple emails and phone calls to the race director went unanswered. On the morning of the race I asked the race director about it - he jumped in a car and sped off, only to return and announce that the route had changed. He didn't even care enough to check the course prior to the race. Lame. A cue sheet is provided anyway.

Beautiful Backroads Century 2015 - Cartersville, GA

Held every year in September, starting and ending at the Anheuser Busch brewery in Cartersville Georgia. The brewery typically acquires a one day pouring license and the ride fee includes after ride meal. This ride is a staple of the North Georgia cycling scene and with good reason.

Coosa Valley Cycling Association Fall Colors Ride - Summerville, GA

Typically held the first weekend in November, this is a "semi-organized ride." Limited SAG and after ride meals are all provided at no charge. Just come out and enjoy the amazing scenery and fall colors on the hilly terrain in Northwest Georgia. CVCA hospitality is obvious on this ride as there are no fees other than five dollars for parking at Sloppy Floyd State Park.
